I knew I was in for a treat the moment I received an invitation from WIP Bangsar.
Their recent Gastronomic Journey event featured a luncheon, showcasing its refreshed Gobble & Guzzle menus with over 20 new dishes and 20 additional cocktails which promise to leave its patrons spoiled for choice. Perfected with a fritzy, modernistic appeal to its decor with talented resident mixologists handsomely stationed behind the bar counter, WIP strives to take on Bangsar with nothing but the best to offer.
Here is what to expect from the new menu lineup at WIP Bangsar Shopping Centre beginning September 2015:
The choices of appetizer served on that day was quick, fun, and they go perfectly with a pint of beer.
Freshly toasted bread,
cherry tomato, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil, black pepper and sea salt
Crispy prawn, chilli mayo
Deep fried bite sized crispy
chicken thigh with grain mustard aioli
The newly-introduced entrées brought great pleasure to both the eyes and the taste buds. The lamb shank that I had was splendid - tender, juicy, and falls right off the bone. The apricot and fig sauce was thick and sweet with a tinge of sourness, while the bed of delicious creamy risotto has made the dish wholesome and complete. The Triple Trio Supreme pizza, however, was a bit of a disappointment. I personally feel that it could use more time in the oven.
