About a month ago, I was browsing through the net in hope of finding a reliable food delivery company in Kuala Lumpur to order lunches from. My expectations were high: Meals have to be healthy, taste good, and are delivered on the dot to my office. FoodMatters.my immediately caught my attention and I wrote in to subscribe to its monthly meal plan and Alexandra Prabaharan, a certified nutritionist and the key person behind FoodMatters.my was quick to respond to my inquiries. I picked the complete package which comes with 20 delicious meals delivered on weekdays throughout the month.

It was a pleasant surprise every time the bell rang.
I would rush to the door, greet the deliveryman, grab the package and place it on the pantry counter. I would then carefully study the nutrition facts that come with the label to know better what I will be consuming on that particular day.

This rice salad is my absolute favorite from FoodMatters.my. Not only is it packed with nutrients and zesty ingredients like mango and cherry tomatoes, the dressing used is also very tasty - the perfect combination of sweet and sour with a tinge of spiciness all in one bite.

The protein loaded rice salad is tossed with a variety of herbs and spices for that tasty zing to keep you satisfied throughout your day at the office. While other rice-based dishes give you food coma, this delicious rice salad will give you an energy boost instead. Main ingredients: Red rice rich in fibre, raw vitamin-packed vegetables, and lean chicken breast.

FoodMatters.my's take on the middle eastern classic does not disappoint - the yogurt, chickpeas and mint loaded falafels make a good meal as well as a filling afternoon snack. Chickpeas are a good source of protein and fibre, while yogurt eases digestion. Pita is made of whole wheat for that extra touch of fibre. Was wishing for an extra serving when I had it!

I thoroughly enjoyed the wide range of dishes available each day. They are hearty, healthy, delicious and so beautifully presented in individually labelled lunch boxes. The only drawback would probably be the unforeseeable delivery time (ranges from noon to 1.30pm), but the overall experience was very satisfying.
