We are currently lapsing through the era of Instagram, where posting pretty pictures is a very big deal. And I believe this is the only reason how cafés in Malaysia are able to sustain their businesses. (i.e. People are willing to pay triple the price for a cup of coffee just because it comes with patterns on it). We have simply moved on from the whole "pearl milk tea craze" to coffee with latte art.

Yeap, we are suckers for anything new that comes along!

In order to revel in our current infatuation for pretty eatables (lol), Joey and I have decided to give Ben's a try just this afternoon:

Ben's by BIG definitely need no introduction.

Located in Bangsar Shopping Centre, this restaurant has a really cozy and homely ambiance - the kind that makes you want to stay for hours.

It was my first time hanging out with this pretty lady. It was really nice chatting and trying out new food with you! :)

So many choices, too little time. Will definitely come back for their cakes.

Today's sources of fatness:

Breaded Button Mushrooms (RM16)

The texture is really squishy and not crispy at all (like the way we expected it to be). And I think the aioli dip tasted unusual and it does not exactly go well with the tempura. Just my two cents!

Cafe Latté (RM7.90)

Caramel Chocolate Banana (RM11)
Rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious! Love how all the ingredients go so well together.

Berrific Sundae (RM13)
Vanilla ice-cream and berries deluged with lotsa chocolate sauce. The almond flakes bar is reaaaally good!

Deconstructed Thai Beef Salad (RM27)
I did not get to try this but by the looks of it, the beef seems really tasty. The portion is huge and it comes with shredded green mango too.

Joey demonstrating the right way of mixing the ingredients before eating it.

Reminded me so much of yee sang lol.

The amount of food would have been perfect for three person. Could barely walk after that lol

I had such a great time. Can't wait for food trip #2! ;)
