Philips Chinese New Year Cooking Class with Chef Amy Beh

Philips Chinese New Year Cooking Class with Chef Amy Beh

For me, new recipes are like blind dates – they may look great in pictures, but you will never really know what to expect until you see them in person. For this reason, I am immensely appreciative of cooking demonstrations as I can put new recipes to test in the presence of a culinary expert, and this allows me to have a better understanding of the recipes even before I start cooking.

I was recently invited to the Philips Chinese New Year Cooking Class with Chef Amy Beh, which primary goal was to demonstrate the ways to prepare three delicious Chinese dishes with significantly less fats. Every dish was cooked using the latest Philips Airfryer TurboStar, which reduces the usage of oil without compromising on taste.

The purpose of the cooking class was to introduce the healthier versions of three very common dishes enjoyed during Chinese New Year in Malaysia. Each of this dish was cooked with the Philips TurboStar Airfryer, using thoughtful recipes recreated by Chef Amy Beh that came with a healthier twist without impinging on the taste. Recipes include:

Tamarind Honey Prawns
Roasted Pork flavored with Tong Kwai
Grilled Spicy Fish with Wonder Mushrooms

Dishes were prepared using condiments from Alce Nero - the leading provider of organic products in Italy.
